instructions for risk board game (final part)

Ok, we are down to the last post on "instructions for risk game board". In this final post I will explain how to conquer Europe and Asia and how to make sure you won't lose your previously acquired risk continent. The goal here is to be very careful to not let a breech open on you territories, since all your risk armies are mostly on continent`s borders.

We need to take over Europe, and make sure that we don't let the doors open for an intrusion in africa or north america. The way I do it is through North africa on West Europe. If you take a look at the risk game board's map, you can see that Western Europe was the only way to North Africa (here I assume you have africa continent under control). So, from Western europe and from Iceland, you are in good shape to destroy what's left in Great Britain and Scandinavia. Northen Europe is probably very lightly defended since this country is not on a continent border. Don't rush to much at this point of the game.

Your risk opponent in Asia will probably let you fight against Europe and may take a chance on you in North America through Alaska. But, you won't let that happen by letting him "take" Austalia. To do so, you will try to fight from Indonesia (or Siam if under your control) and to the north. The perfect scenario would be to make your way through: Siam, China and Mongolia. From there you would retreat what's left of your risk armies in Kamchatka. This move might look stupid at first, but you will realize that the Asia player will try to conquer Australia instead of trying a move to north america. By the time your asian opponent will conquer Australia, Europe will be under your control and the table will be set for the final fight.

If you don't have an Asian territory under your control, I suggest you do a move on Middle East. With only two asian territory next to it, this is the safest place to build a wall against intruders. With that place under control, it`s pretty much game over. You will slowly destroy the risk armies next to Alaska in Kamchatka and in Ural through Ukraine. From three front, you will invade Asia and do a final blow in Australia!
Easy!! :)

I hope you liked those instructions of the risk game board and I hope to read yours right here in the comment section. I might even write some post with all the best strategies I will receive.

In a next post, I will talk about another favorite game of mine, the game of Clue.

instructions for risk board game (part 3)

risk & board game & freePart three, you still have risk & board game & free time and you are well positioned in north america, australia and south america. Your primary goal at this point is to play strong on the defense while you build up more armies to take over another Risk continent. You need to figure out the best way to proceed on this risk board game. That means, what Risk territories should I conquer next? With all the free time you had between turns you probably have a strategy by now but here's some more instructions for risk board game domination.

If you take a closer look on the board continents that are not under your control yet, you will observe that if you take over Africa, only three territories can land aninstructions for risk board game (Risk continent of Africa is the next target) attack on your Risk troops from: western europe, south europe and Middle east. If you would conquer Europe Risk continent, you would face five possible path of attack from Asia and Africa. I don't even consider Asia at this point since it's too big and to many territories are exposed to an attack. So taking into account all those Risk strategies, my Risk instructions would be to try an attack on Africa to get more freedom of action on the remaining continents.

So far I didn't write about Risk card territories. Just has a remember, he risk rules to trade risk cards for risk units are the following:
  1. You need risk & board game & free time (the obvious elements)risk card
  2. If you have five or six risk cards, you need to trade at least one risk card trio.
  3. The first risk card trio traded for risk units worth 4 army.
  4. The second risk card trio traded for risk units worth 6 army.
  5. The third risk card trio traded for risk units worth 8 army.
  6. The fourth risk card trio traded for risk units worth 10 army.
  7. The fifth risk card trio traded for risk units worth 12 army.
  8. The sixth risk card trio traded for risk units worth 15 army.
  9. The next risk card trio (and all the others following this one) worth 5 more army then the previous one (20, 25, 30, ...)
Here's a risk tips, if you are not in need of additional risk armies (no imminent threat), try to keep your risk cards has long as possible to trade them for more armies.
So let's get back to our attack. Try to plan a risk cards trading instructions for risk board game (taking north and east africa Risk territories from Brazil)
right before your big move in africa. Put all your extra armies in Brazil to attack north africa.
I suggest to play this attack in two separate moves. The first one to take over north africa and east africa and the second one to take the rest. The reason why you should take east africa is to minimize the number of opponent risk armies that will have a direct attack on you. After this first move, try to make a retreat that will even out the risk units in north and east africa. At this point, you might need a couple more turn to free africa, since more risk are at the doors on the board game in those regions.

instructions for risk board game (part 2)

Following my previous post on "instructions for risk board game", I will describe my Risk strategies to conquer the rest of the world. Now that you have conquered (the dice are rolling for you) Australia and you are getting more risk units every turn for this continent, you've been able to build up a great army in north america. On the Risk game board, you should focus on establishing good defenses in Greenland and Alaska.

The point of attack will on south america through central america. You guessed right, the next victim will be Venezuela. So at this stage of the game, my instructions would be to attack only this section of the board game and not taking too much risk. The goal is to build up another big defense in Brazil. This might take a couple of turn but you need to stay focused on those instructions.

Now that we have established a good defense in the following key locations: Indonesia, Greenland, Alaska and Brazil, we need to do two things to stick to my instructions for risk board game. First, conquer the territories left to the opponent in north america and south america if not already done. Second, prevent my Risk opponents from getting extra units for continent control. To achieve this second instruction, here's some more Risk instructions.

  • Move units from Indonesia to Siam to prevent an opponent from getting Risk unit in Asia. Siam is a good spot since there's only two territories to attack from (India and China)
  • Move units from Greenland to Iceland. I know Iceland is small and your Risk units won't fit, but do we really care! This move will prevent another Risk player from controlling Europe and get more units each turn.

Ok, now you should be in good position to control the rest of the game board. To control the rest of the Risk game board, you will need some patience from here. In my next post, I will explain how you should play your Risk cards to maximize your chance of winning this Risk game. So stay tuned for more instructions for risk board game in my next post.

instructions for risk board game

Risk game board map
Another old favorite classic board game of mine, Risk. This game has taken so much hours from my life when I was younger. I remember playing Risk for countless hours especially during chrismas time with my cousins and brothers. The instructions for risk board game were given by my older cousin which was "the" Risk game expert. There's quite a few rules in this game and you need to know them well to be able to play this game. When comes the time to count the unit, you don't want to miscount them, otherwise thrust me, someone will let you know :)

The instructions for risk board game" are one thing and the strategies are another. I like planning my units position in my head before the game starts (sometimes many hours before). I often use the same strategies and I had a lot of success with it. If you follow my instructions the next time you will play the Risk board game, you will have success for sure (I hope).

First set of risk board game instructionsinstructions for risk board game 1

  1. Always try to have a concentration of unit on two continent (A small one and a bigger one). For example, you could take North America and Australia. The reason why you want the small one is that it will give you extra unit fast at the beginning of the game. The bigger one will be more in danger at the start, but with the extra units, you will be able to defend key locations.

  2. Put more units at continent borders. With the same example, you would put more resources in: Alaska, Central america, Greenland and Indonesia. With this "risk" strategies, you will discourage someone from putting to much unitsinstructions for risk board game 2 inside other Australia territories and ease your domination over there. The goal in north america is to survive long enough in key locations only.

  3. Conquer your first continent as fast has possible. In my example, australia.

  4. Take the extra units and put them in key locations in north
america if no big threat near Indonesia.

  5. In north america, try to conquer one territory next to each key location at a time.

Stay tuned for the second part of instructions for risk board game. In my next post, I will give more instructions and strategies for the rest of the game.
