Punk-O-Matic online punk music game

This one is not a board game, but I have to write about it anyways. Punk-O-Matic is a very cool "make your own punk music" online game. It was designed and created by a young talented AI programmer and co-worker of mine, Marco Arsenault (Evil-Dog).

punkomatic drummerIn just a few minute, you'll be able to create drum, rhythm guitar and lead guitar beats to buildpunk-o-matic lead guitar your own punk music. Punk-O-Matic is very addictive. Once you'll try it, you won't be able to stop composing new music.

The game let you control three instrument's beat. For each of them, you need to specify what the beat should be for every second of the song. Take a look at the punk-O-matic lead guitar beat tabs. You can see that it's divided in squares representing one second of the song (15 seconds shown in picture). For every second you need to set a beat value in the square. This value represents one of the thirteen beat available for this punk-O-matic instrument. You can listen to a preview of it before making your final setup.

The punk-O-matic game let you control three instrument: Drum, rhythm guitar and lead guitar. They all have thirteen different beat to play with. When you'll be done filling beats for all three punk-o-matic instrument, your tabs will look something like this.

Punk-O-Matic rhythm guitarNow you are ready to listen to the track made by punk-o-matic and to do that all you need to do is press the play button. Beneath the instrument tabs lies a cursor that you can move to check out tabs later in the Punk-O-Matic track. There is also a line moving across the tabs to indicate where we are in track (see red arrows for cursor and line).

This great online punk music game let you save and load your latest punk-o-matic creations. You can also convert them into mp3's. Writing punk music has never been that easy to do!

The title says it all, this new series of post will answer this simple question: how do you play clue the board game ? Clue was one of my favorite game. I was always drive by the curiosity of checking the clue cards hidden in the envelope under the clue board game. For some strange reasons, I was also excited to have Miss Scarlet's clue card in my hand... So, like I said before, I will try to explain my way of playing the clue game by giving very clear tactics throughout this series of posts on Clue. Just to refresh the memories of some people that haven't played this game for a while, the goal of this board game is to solve the scene of a crime. Who's the killer, Where did he (or she) make the crime and With what weapon. How do we solve this crime? You go in the clue arena , you make your little investigation by asking people if they know something about the crime. The goal is to gather precious informations and deduce the crime scene before the other clue player.

The clue game arena or more commonly known has Tudor's Mansion, is the house where Mr. John Boddy was found dead. At the time of the crime, a bunch of people (the suspects) where in this mansion and one of them did the unthinkable! We all know those famous suspects by name, but do you really know who they are and why they were at Tudor's Mansion that night?
