clue board game strategy

T ime to take notes! We already saw in a previous post a clue strategy on how to use optimal paths between rooms, in the clue game arena, to navigate through the clue board game. Now it's time to reveal my clue strategy on how to take good notes to find the context clues of the murder. But before I do that, I wanted to mention that I recently played Clue Online (lack of friends), so if you are like me and would like to try my strategy, this online clue playing could be a nice way to do it. Back to my strategy, to do it, you'll need a piece of paper like this one (see clue detective note on the right). My clue strategy here is to not lose a single piece of information exchanged during an accusation done by me or any other player. With want to be able to resolve the clue murderer before anybody else. The clue player that takes the best notes is the one with the best clue board game strategy, period! clue board game strategy step 1 Here's how I fill my clue detective notes....

clue game arena (part 2)

I n this post I want to talk about how I try to optimize my movements in the clue game arena. The arena is for me the actual board. I like this term since it sounds like gladiator fighting to kill someone! So, here's a picture of the clue arena with all the starting position of all clue suspects . My first goal in the arena is to move to a clue room with the less dice roll as possible. My favorite clue suspect and clue room duo are the conservatory and Mrs. Peacock. I don't know if it's a flaw in the board design, but if you look at the clue game board closely, you will see that there's only six square between Mrs. Peacock's starting position and the conservatory room door (shortest path between a room and a suspect starting position). The other reason why I like this duo, is that you end up in a clue room with a secret passage to another clue room. Using secret passages is a well known clue strategy to speed up the amount of accusation you can make every turn...

It was the game of life board game half crushed on the floor with all the kids rolling left and right. Ah, I wished I was a doctor. It's been a very very long time since I played the game of life (reason why dust was stacking up on the box) and was curious to find out if this board game was still fun 15 years later. So just to refresh some memories here's a couple of things you should remember about the board game called "The game of life" of simply "Life" (for french people, "Destin"). So let's start with a game of life flashback The first thing to remember is the way we were choosing a career. The choice was made right from the beginning and luck was a big factor to decide how much money you would make each pay day. Not much "The Game Of Life...

instructions for risk board game (final part)

Image
Ok, we are down to the last post on "instructions for risk game board". In this final post I will explain how to conquer Europe and Asia and how to make sure you won't lose your previously acquired risk continent. The goal here is to be very careful to not let a breech open on you territories, since all your risk armies are mostly on continent`s borders. We need to take over Europe, and make sure that we don't let the doors open for an intrusion in africa or north america. The way I do it is through North africa on West Europe. If you take a look at the risk game board's map, you can see that Western Europe was the only way to North Africa (here I assume you have africa continent under control). So, from Western europe and from Iceland, you are in good shape to destroy what's left in Great Britain and Scandinavia. Northen Europe is probably very lightly defended since this country is not on a continent border. Don't rush to much at this point of the ...

instructions for risk board game (part 3)

P art three, you still have risk & board game & free time and you are well positioned in north america, australia and south america. Your primary goal at this point is to play strong on the defense while you build up more armies to take over another Risk continent. You need to figure out the best way to proceed on this risk board game. That means, what Risk territories should I conquer next? With all the free time you had between turns you probably have a strategy by now but here's some more instructions for risk board game domination. If you take a closer look on the board continents that are not under your control yet, you will observe that if you take over Africa, only three territories can land an attack on your Risk troops from: western europe, south europe and Middle east. If you would conquer Europe Risk continent, you would face five possible path of attack from Asia and Africa. I don't even consider Asia at this point since it's too big and to many terri...

instructions for risk board game (part 2)

Image
F ollowing my previous post on " instructions for risk board game ", I will describe my Risk strategies to conquer the rest of the world. Now that you have conquered (the dice are rolling for you) Australia and you are getting more risk units every turn for this continent, you've been able to build up a great army in north america. On the Risk game board, you should focus on establishing good defenses in Greenland and Alaska. The point of attack will on south america through central america. You guessed right, the next victim will be Venezuela. So at this stage of the game, my instructions would be to attack only this section of the board game and not taking too much risk . The goal is to build up another big defense in Brazil. This might take a couple of turn but you need to stay focused on those instructions. Now that we have established a good defense in the following key locations: Indonesia, Greenland, Alaska and Brazil, we need to do two things to stick to my instr...

instructions for risk board game

A nother old favorite classic board game of mine, Risk. This game has taken so much hours from my life when I was younger. I remember playing Risk for countless hours especially during chrismas time with my cousins and brothers. The instructions for risk board game were given by my older cousin which was "the" Risk game expert. There's quite a few rules in this game and you need to know them well to be able to play this game. When comes the time to count the unit, you don't want to miscount them, otherwise thrust me, someone will let you know :) Recently, I played risk online and it brang back so much memories! So if you are a bit rusty with Risk, maybe playing the game online will help you refresh all your tactics. The instructions for risk board game" are one thing and the strategies are another. I like planning my units position in my head before the game starts (sometimes many hours before). I often use the same strategies and I had a lot of success with...
